An alternative to the established thinking of transportable modular architecture
M3 Studio is a response to understanding the definition of space as a three dimensional volume, as the name itself suggests.
M3 challenges the notion of assigned spaces in conventional floor plans; the contained space has become flexible for interpretation.
Alongside the provocation of theoretical thinking, M3 is a transportable working design studio which demonstrates how space can be configured within the third dimension through the use of two movable cubes.
The sculptural intrigue of the M3 can be adapted to practical use by allowing the smaller volumes to engage with the larger volume. The cubes simultaneously function as furniture and partitions.
