New science and technology block for Christchurch pupils open!

After the delay caused by the aftershocks, new buildings have been completed in Christchurch. Catholic Cathedral College is on the same site as the Catholic Cathedral which was badly damaged in the earthquakes.

The period of emergency response is now over and the new science and technology building designed by Opus Architecture is being used by staff and students.

This new building has 1000sqm floor area and has been positioned to help ‘enclose' the College Playing fields from the prevailing easterly wind. Staff and pupils are enjoying this new structure, which is enhancing the learning experience.
